EVALUATION OF THE PATIENTS OPERATED WITH VSDs OF DIFFERENT AGES

OBJECTIVE: Ventricular septum defect (VSD) can be defined as one or more openings located in the separating left and right ventricle. septal defects congenital acquired. It is most common heart anomaly. In this article, we evaluated VSDs that treated surgically our clinic light of literature.MATERIAL AND METHODS: 68 VSD patients were intervened clinic. 39 cases male (57.3%) 29 female (42.7%). The mean age was 9.10 ± 9.13 (1-48), weight 25 16.5 (7-75). When preoperative New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional capacity (FC) compared, FC-I determined 31 (45.5%), FC-II 30 (44.1%), FC-III 7 (10.2%). existing anomalies 15 (22.05%) with aortic insufficiency (AR) valve prolapse (AVP); 18 (26.4%) ASD 8 (11.7%) PDA.RESULTS: looking at intervention methods according to types, perimembranous type atriotomy 53 (77.9%), 1 case (1.4%) tricuspid annulus radial incision; muscular ventriculotomy 2 (2.9%) Swiss-Chess type; Right preferred 4 (5.8%) DCJA (Doubly Committed Jukstaarterial) type. Between postoperative complications frequent residual 9 (15.3 %). Mortality seen 3 (5.09 %) PAB 67±7.5 mmHg, LV- RV shunt 49±9.6 Qp/Qs 4.7±3.87, PVR 7.5±4.6 values follow-up. According comparison pre/postoperative NYHA RVP statistics (p<0.05), survival rate without reoperation estimated 93.2 %.CONCLUSIONS: disease. development ECHO cardiac angiography has a great share diagnosis classification. should evaluate very well close them after months.
